Senior Fellows

The 2012 Senior Fellows program will take place, July 30 - August 17.

The Senior Fellows is a professional development program for senior level academic librarians. The program offers a unique combination of management perspectives, strategic thinking, and practical and theoretical approaches to the issues confronting academic institutions and their libraries.

The Senior Fellows program is an intensive three-week residential program structured around a variety of learning experiences: lectures, guest speakers, case studies, field trips, and informal group study sessions. Sessions are held each morning, with afternoons usually devoted to study and recreation although some formal sessions will be scheduled.

Fellows will be asked to prepare at least one assignment in advance of arrival in Los Angeles; and a follow-up project will be negotiated during the session. Some program topics will be derived from the statements of purpose prepared by fellows to respond to the individual participants' interests.
