Stacey McKeever, President

Stacey is a Sr. Digital Asset Archivist for Herbalife International, a global nutrition and direct selling company. Prior to Herbalife, Stacey was the Digital Archivist for Disney Online, a business unit of the Walt Disney Internet Group (DIG) for nearly eight years. After graduating in 1997, Stacey has kept close ties with the Department through her previous service to the Board as a Member-at-Large as well her stint as an Adjunct Lecturer for the Department’s online searching class. Stacey has a B.A. in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Psychology from UC Santa Cruz. In her spare time, Stacey likes to go to the movies, the theater and improve her pottery skills. Sanjeet Mann, Vice-President

Sanjeet received his MLIS in June 2008 and works as a Reference Librarian at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga. His academic interests focus on the use of emerging technologies in library instruction and scholarly communication. Before starting at Chaffey, Sanjeet worked and interned in several units at UCLA Libraries, and during library school he served as co-Chair and Alumni Liaison of the IS Department Student Governing Board, where he worked closely with the LISAA Board, IS department faculty and administration, and leaders of student organizations. Through his service as LISAA Vice-President, Sanjeet looks forward to strengthening connections between the IS department and alumni – new and experienced alike. Sanjeet can be reached at

Susan Broidy, Member-at-Large

Susan is an Adult Reference Librarian with the Los Angeles Public Library, the Mid Valley Regional Branch in North Hills in the San Fernando Valley. This is the busiest branch in the LAPL system, with circulation only bested by the Central Library. Ms. Broidy has collection development responsibilities for Social Sciences and Serials as well as her reference desk work. Off desk and off duty, Ms. Broidy can be found playing tennis, planning a party, or traveling to visit her children. Susan can be reached at

Claude Zachary, Member-at-Large

Claude is a native of Southern California, specifically Beverly Hills, a veteran of a five year sojourn at UC Santa Cruz in the 70's, culminating with a BA in American Film and Literature, and a 1998 alumnus (MLIS) of UCLA DLIS. Claude is University Archivist and Manuscripts Librarian in Special Collections of the University of Southern California Information Services Division. He practices in the fields of archival techniques, information access, and digital media. He is a member of numerous archival societies, ASIS, and the RBMS of the ACRL of the ALA. His areas of recreational interest include music and media of all kinds and Tibetan Buddhism and the psychology of meditation. Claude can be reached at

Elizabeth Spatz, LISAA Secretary

After receiving her B.A. in painting, sculpture and graphic arts, Libby started work as a photo archivist at the Getty Museum in 1981. During her career at the Getty she held positions as a curatorial assistant, an archivist, and a technical systems manager. After 20 years she came to the conclusion that she wanted to work more closely with primary research materials. She began graduate studies at UCLA's GSE&IS in 2003, emphasizing work in archival studies and taking advantage of internships and employment at various local institutions such as the Palos Verdes Public Library, Walt Disney Imagineering Library, and UCLA's Special Collections department in the Young Research Library. After graduating in 2005 and taking a brief break to go sailing in the Cook Islands and New Zealand, she returned to work in UCLA's Special Collections, where she's been processing arts-oriented collections since January 2006.

Cindy Lundquist, Member-at-Large

Cindy retired at the end of July 2006 from a twenty-one-year position at Pepperdine University as a business librarian and the Coordinator of Graduate Campus Libraries. Before working at Pepperdine, she spend several years as a business librarian at USC as well as several years in special libraries, including Lloyd's Bank California, Arthur Young, the Rand Corporation, and Savage Information Services. Her library career began at Becker and Hayes, Inc., after receiving her MLS in 1969 and a certificate in Information Science in 1970. She continues to enjoy living nearby in Culver City and plans to continue part-time library work or participation in volunteer work in her community.

Jonathan Fiencke, Member-at-Large

Jonathan is originally from the East Coast. While living in the DC area he worked as a "temp" librarian for two years in a variety of government and research agencies, and also at George Mason University for four years as a Lending Coordinator in Interlibrary Loan. He is currently seeking a full-time position in the DC or California area. In addition to the expected book lust he enjoys writing, running, swimming, online gaming, and playing with digital multimedia.
