Friday Forums

The Friday Forums are a series of continuing education workshops sponsored by the UCLA Department of Information Studies.

The diverse array of offerings are structured to enhance the careers of information professionals by staging timely courses in information trends and providing workshops to help expand one's skills.

Friday Forum topics range from those focused on librarians working within public libraries, with titles such as “Adult Programming for Public Libraries” and “Musical Storytimes”, to workshops aimed at academic librarians such as “Transforming Your Teaching”.

Timely topics such as “Competitive Intelligence for Information Professionals” introduce professionals to trends in the information industry.

And hands-on training in areas such as web authoring skills and social networking, appeal to anyone eager to broaden their skill set.
