Guide to Accessing your Z: Drive from GSE&IS 118 Macs

 

  1. From the Go pulldown menu click on CONNECT TO SERVER.

  2. In the Address box enter: smb://polaris/YourISUserName

  3. When prompted, enter your IS User Name and Password. This is the same username and password which you use to log in to the machines in the MIT Lab (not your ETU username and password). Be sure the log in domain is set to ISDEPT (you may have to type it manually).

  4. Your Z: drive will be mounted to the desktop.

  5. Don't forget to log off from the Mac when you're finished.
