Job Listings & ResourcesOften students choose to accept employment several hours a week, and part-time jobs, both within the UCLA library system and off campus, are plentiful. Some students choose to work full-time and the department tries to accommodate diverse schedules by offering courses that meet during the evenings or just once a week. The Job Listings webpages contain listings for all job postings that are received by the Lab; this includes those received by post and those received through email (e.g. IS-NET postings). Each posting is placed in one of four binders located on the journal shelves. The databases and binders are:
As you will note, each listing contains a binder number, allowing students to locate the original posting within its appropriate binder. Remember, much more information is located in the binders than is contained in the listings. The Job Listings webpages are intended to provide a quick overview. In all cases, records are listed in order of date received. Maintenance Policy The staff periodically removes all listings for which the closing date is past. For postings with an unstated or flexible closing date, we remove those older than two months for Binders C, P, and S and older than three months for Binder F.
