Encyclopedia of Library & Information Sciences, 3rd Ed.

Edited by IS faculty members Marcia Bates (Emerita) and Mary Niles Maack, the third edition of ELIS was released in December 2009. Licensed by the UCLA Library, the encyclopedia can be accessed from a UCLA computer or from off-campus by UCLA students, faculty, and staff – Off-campus access privileges compiled by the UCLA Library.

A good portion of the Lab’s book collection is accessible via the UCLA Library Catalog. If you do find a book related to information studies but do not find a holding for the Lab, note the book’s call number and check the Lab’s stacks in case the book’s record is not yet in the catalog.
